Our favorite tailgate market is open April-October on Saturdays, 7 AM-Noon. Located a comfortable walk from our cottage, the market's vendors provide fresh greens, vegetables, and herbs, plus delicious homemade cheeses, condiments, jams, breads, and more. Our friends from Hickory Nut Gap Farm are selling their excellent fresh eggs and delicious meats at the market. For cottage guests, this is a tradition- a short walk to purchase your meal ingredients or to build a picnic menu from seasonal offerings.
KITCHEN UPDATES
Preparing great meals at your leisure in the cottage kitchen is one of the joys that separates our place from your average B&B or (gasp) hotel/motel. New additions to the well-stocked cottage kitchen include a toaster oven, a blender, and a small food processor, plus lots of toys- quality prep knives, a garlic press, stainless mixing bowls, and more. With the gas cooktop and other appliances, you might enjoy eating in as much as dining out, and you'll save some bucks while you're at it.
